EFMN Raises Epilepsy Awareness And Understanding

Thursday, May 15 is Rise Above Seizures Day in Minnesota. For its 60th Anniversary, client Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota will be distributing 60,000 balloons in recognition of the 60,000 people in our community with epilepsy. Individuals and organizations making donations will in turn receive red helium-filled balloons to display and help raise awareness.

Utilizing an idea created by pro bono partner Solve, EFMN is using a balloon as an inspirational metaphor, symbolizing the ability to rise above seizures and achieve one’s highest dreams. Partnering with the Minnesota Twins, EFMN will be at Target Field for Thursday’s 12:10 pm Twins/Red Sox game where University of Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Neighboring businesses surrounding Target Field will display balloons and “turn the area red” to raise awareness.
