Solve Named Digital Small Agency Of The Year Finalist

Solve Named One Of Five Finalists Based On Depth Of Creative Work And Innovative Execution

Solve has been named a Small Agency of the Year finalist in the 2015 iMedia Agency Awards. The annual awards recognize the most valuable, innovative agencies in digital marketing. An advisory board of senior executives from companies including Virgin America, ESPN, MasterCard, Mondelez and Twitter determine the finalists. Solve is also a finalist for Best Agency for Video among a select group of agency finalists that includes Leo Burnett and Team One. Large Agency of the Year finalists include BBDO, Huge, R/GA, Sapient Nitro and Young & Rubicam.

Solve Design Director Nick Smasal Featured In 2015 Shirt Show

Third Annual The Shirt Show Showcases Top Design Talent

Nick Smasal, Solve Design Director and one of the founders of The Shirt Show, will be among the select roster of artists featured in this year’s annual design event. Top talent from the local creative community each display their inspiration on a t-shirt. This year’s Shirt Show takes place on Friday, October 23 at 514 Studios. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Solve and their friends at mono, Olson and Space 150 will provide kegs of beer, with food provided by MyBurger. As always, shirts are limited and for sale at this year’s show.

Agency Shares Keys To Better Creative Output

As part of its ongoing commitment to provide thought leadership, Solve’s Ryan Murray, Account Director, spoke before members of the American Advertising Federation. Murray shared a presentation titled “Building A Client-Centric Agency.” The youngest agency to ever win the Ad Age Small Agency of the Year Award, Solve is founded on the principle of client centricity. Murray shared how focusing nimble, non-traditional agency teams on client challenges can lead to better creative work, and more importantly, solving client problems.

Solve Brings View Of Industry To University Of Illinois

Alumnus Teaches Classes, Shares Experience In “Personal Brand” Career Seminar

Solve employee and Illinois alum Roman Paluta recently visited the campus of the University of Illinois in Champaign. Invited by the university’s Charles H. Sandage Department of Advertising faculty and staff, Paluta spent time in the classroom sharing the agency’s approach to building brands. He also met with students in the college’s placement center to offer personal experience related to career preparation.

“We have a passion for this business and enjoy sharing our experience,” said Paluta, Solve Director of Business Development. “As an agency, we believe we have a responsibility to help nurture that passion among the next generation of professionals preparing to enter our industry.”

Solve Hires Chelsea Janssen As Digital Project Manager

Solve has bolstered its digital strength with the addition of Chelsea Janssen as Digital Project Manager. Janssen joins the agency from Schermer where she helped develop and maintain websites, microsites and multi-point digital campaigns. The Iowa State grad has honed her skills working with clients including 3M, Honeywell and Eaton. “As our digital workload continues to grow, we’re excited to add someone of Chelsea’s experience and talent level,” said Solve President Corey Johnson.
